Most likely it probably hurts in other ranges also, not to mention that range of motion is probably limited. The nerves of the lower neck innervate or communicate to the shoulder and arms. Just like nerves in the lower back travel to the hips and legs.
The problem can be more distal (nerves in the shoulder), but most often comes from the neck. Especially in this case, where we experience pain while moving the neck, the root of this pain is most likely in the neck.
Something like the cervical traction pillow will keep not only your neck in alignment, but your shoulders as well.

Well done! The cervical traction pillow should do the trick. It’s amazing how many people have pain and don’t realize it could be caused by the way they sleep!
HI< i have continous pain on my shoulders, bothe the points and the pain has reached till my arms, how do i get rid of the same??? it seems my spinal cord is tilted from its end and hence the pain is there 24 hrs and have the urge to get it pressed.... please help
